De Leon Musical Groups

 

The De Leon High School Orchestra of 1921 and 1922.  The members are: seated (L-R) Ellen Akers, drummer and future Pulitzer Prize winner William S. White, Carl Cooper, George Barnes, Janice Kee, Mary Louise Lowe.  Back row: Unknown, Dale Wilson, Emmett Lee Howard.  Not pictured was Ronald Myers.  The photograph is from the 1922 De Leonian and appears to have been taken at someone’s home.
